What to Expect
From a Golf Lesson.

Every Grip Golf lesson is built on data, with Trackman on every shot, HD video, and a professional coach who turns the numbers into a plan you can feel. Here's exactly how it works.

Plans
Our approach

This is coaching, driven by data.

Every lesson at Grip is built on measurement. The moment you swing, Trackman captures carry, club path, face angle, launch and spin, and HD cameras catch what the eye can't.

Your coach reads that data live, shows you exactly what's happening on screen, and builds a clear, repeatable plan around it.

What we coach

We coach every part of your game.

Whether you have never held a club or you are chasing scratch, a lesson is built around the part of your game that will move your score the most.

  • Full swing

From driver to wedges, we work on club path, face and strike, rebuilt around your body.

  • Short game

Chipping, pitching and bunker play on Tour-spec lies, covering the shots that save your score.

  • Putting

Stroke, face angle and pace on a Trackman putting tile, for the most under-practised shot in golf.

  • Course strategy

Learn to make smarter decisions and better misses, so you can think your way round and protect a card.

  • Mental game

Build routine, tempo and composure under pressure, the difference between the range and the first tee.

  • Custom fitting

Clubs matched to your swing through our American Golf partnership, so your gear is never the problem.

Inside a lesson

Every lesson follows a proven structure.

Whether it is your first session or your fiftieth, you will move through the same three stages.

  1. 01

    Measure your baseline.

We start with a baseline. A few swings on Trackman and HD video capture your real numbers for carry, club path, face angle and strike, and you review them with your coach on screen.

    • Trackman baseline
    • HD video
    • Live numbers
  2. 02

    Make one priority change.

Your coach identifies the single change that will help you most, then designs drills around it. You see the data move shot by shot and feel the difference in the bay, with one clear focus throughout.

    • Priority diagnosis
    • Targeted drills
    • Instant feedback
  3. 03

    Save your progress.

Every session's video, data and notes are saved to your profile. You leave with clear homework and a plan, and your coach tracks the trend each time you come back, so improvement is something you can see.

    • Saved to profile
    • Practice homework
    • Tracked over time
Lesson types

From a first swing to a full rebuild, learn your way.

There are two ways to work with a Grip coach: drop in for a single session, or commit to a programme built around one goal.

Success stories

Players who got better, faster.

Lower handicaps, longer drives, cleaner contact. Whatever you are working on, our coaches turn data and practice into improvement you can measure.

“Mark found the fault a decade of lessons had missed. Six weeks of focused swing work and I am flushing the irons I used to fear, with a handicap that finally started moving.”

“Charlie built me a plan I could actually repeat. Eight weeks in my drives are twenty yards longer and far straighter, and for the first time I understand why.”
Sam K. Tower Bridge · Driving consistency

“The data doesn't lie. Hugh rebuilt my swing in three sessions and my handicap is down four since. It is the fastest I have ever improved.”
Priya R. Deptford Park · Handicap 12 → 8
Coached by Hugh Campbell Meet Hugh
“I went from topping every shot to breaking 100 in a season. Dave made each lesson build on the last, and the numbers showed me getting better every single week.”

FAQs

Your questions, answered.

If your question isn't answered here, ask on a studio tour or message the team any time.

How often should I have lessons?

It depends on your goal. A single lesson can fix a specific fault, while real, lasting change usually takes a short block of sessions with practice in between. Your coach will recommend a realistic rhythm on day one, and most improving golfers visit every one to two weeks.

Do I need my own clubs?

No. Both studios provide fitted club sets for every level, included in any lesson. If you have your own you're welcome to bring them, and if your equipment is holding you back your coach can arrange a custom fitting.

I've never played golf. Is a lesson right for me?

Especially then. Roughly a third of our new golfers had never held a club before they walked in. Your first lesson starts with the basics, Trackman handles the data, and you'll hit your first shot within ten minutes, in a private bay with no one watching.

How much do lessons cost?

Single one-to-one lessons start from £60, with specialist and longer sessions priced individually. Lesson programmes (a block of sessions) work out better value, and members get reduced coaching rates. See the full list on our lessons page.

Will I actually improve — and how do you track it?

Every shot is measured on Trackman and saved to your profile, so progress is something you can see rather than guess at. Your coach reviews the trend in carry, dispersion and strike each session and adjusts the plan accordingly.
